Ikaruga Early Winter, 1990

Series; Yamato Four Titles

Ikaruga Early Winter, 1990 - Lovely view of Ikaruga in early winter, the image suffused with soft light as if seen through an early morning mist. A temple building and pagoda rise above wall among the trees, an entrance gate in the center of the outer wall. A sliver of a crescent moon is just visible in the sky at center. The image is printed on metallic leaf that adds a subtle golden shimmer in some areas, with the leaf exposed as a border around the subject. Published by Takamizawa in a limited edition of 205. A beautiful large format design that would make a handsome framed display.

Artist - Yoshihiko Yoshida (1912 - 2001)

Image Size - 14 7/8" x 29 7/8" + margins as shown

Condition - Excellent color and detail. Vertical crease at right with gold showing along crease, a few light creases and slight curling.
