Tokyo Port Wild Bird Park, 1990

Comments - Fantastic large format view of the wild bird park at the Port of Tokyo. A few herons wade through the shallow water while a variety of ducks float nearby. A flock of seagulls flutters above the wooden pilings. At upper left, an airplane flies past. A beautiful, rare large format Toshi Yoshida design with wonderful detail. The print was produced as part of the Japan Print Association's series "One Hundred Views of Tokyo: Message to the 21st Century" Series. Starting in 1989, the association commissioned one hundred artists to create designs for the series, publishing 10 prints each year for 10 years. The print features a circular embossed seal in the lower right corner reads "Japan Print Association." The first time we've seen this subject.
