A Fuji Arts Special Offer Auction

Comic Scenes - Unusual print depicting a variety of comic scenes. At upper left, a yakko or footman peers through a flute at a daimyo holding a sword wrapped in cloth. At lower right, the samurai Hayano Kampei, one of the famous 47 ronin, thrusts a gun at a fellow with a fox mask in his hand, his intended victim howling and hopping on one foot while another man pulls on his red sash. At lower left, a seated man wears a gray kimono with the inverted comma crest used by Oboshi Yuranosuke, the leader of the ronin. An eerie skull at upper right features writing. An interesting illustration.

Condition - Good detail. Vertical centerfold. A few wormholes, repaired. A couple creases.
