Nakamura Shikan IV as Sato Masakiyo - Bold kabuki scene featuring Nakamura Shikan IV as the great warrior Sato Masakiyo (the real life Kato Kiyomasa), grimacing angrily as he grips a polearm upright, wearing armor over a purple print kimono, and a helmet topped with horns. At left, Sanzaemon's daughter Hinakinu eyes him suspiciously with a strange grin. Another samurai watches Masakiyo with a tightlipped frown. From left, the actors are Nakamura Kanjaku III, Bando Mitsugoro VI, and Nakamura Shikan IV. A striking design.
