Original Kunichika (1835 - 1900) Japanese Woodblock Print
Shirabyoshi Dancers under a Temple Bell

Small Format Kabuki Prints - Handsome design from a group of kabuki portraits by Kunichika in the unusual yotsugiri (half chuban) size. Each print features a scene from a play or a half-length portrait of an actor, some against solid color backgrounds and others against designs. These smaller format designs share the same attention to detail and composition as Kunichika's larger format works, and feature expressive figures and lively colors. An interesting complement to Kunichika's larger kabuki prints.

Artist - Kunichika (1835 - 1900)

Image Size - 6 3/4" x 8 3/4"

Condition - Nice color and good detail.
