Girl Playing Shamisen and Singing, 1892

Kunichika's Prints of Children - Interesting design from Kunichika's untitled series depicting children. These charming images show young children playing, eating, acting mischievously, imitating a lion, and dressed as a firefighter with a tiny ladder and brigade standard. An unusual and rare Kunichika series, with expressive faces and wonderful detail in the objects. The first time we've offered many of these subjects.

Artist - Kunichika (1835 - 1900)

Image Size - 9 1/2" x 13 3/4"

Condition - Nice color and detail. Slight separation at ends of vertical centerfold, repaired. A couple creases at edges.
