Samurai Holding up a Rooster Robe

Comments - Interesting kabuki scene of a samurai in the center holding up a red robe with a yellow rooster on the back. At right, another samurai holds a lamp above his head, frowning angrily, his other hand resting atop the hilt of his sword. At left, a man in a blue floral robe throws his hands out at his sides in a stopping motion, while the fellow behind him scowls at the samurai in the center. He wears a black kimono with a beautiful burnished cloud pattern. Red peonies decorate the screen at right, and rooms extend into the background at upper left. A nicely detailed scene.
