Beauties Enjoying Brewed Tea - Lovely triptych of beauties enjoying brewed tea. The woman at left cradles a teacup carefully with both hands, while her companion in the center holds a sweet from a bowl places on the floor nearby. At right, a woman brings in a covered cup of tea on a black lacquer stand for her guest. She wears an elegant kimono shaded from aqua to yellow, patterned with colorful streams and a variety of blossoms, including peonies, cherry blossoms, chrysanthemums, and maple leaves. A low stand behind her holds an ornate vase with a floral arrangement and a small teapot. A beautiful design, wonderfully detailed with burnishing on the hair, the black obi, and black lacquer furnishings, and delicate embossing on the white kimono collars, and metallic silver pigment on the vase.
