Adachi was one of the most respected publishers of the 20th century. Their woodblocks were printed to the highest standards with excellent color and fine detail. Founded in 1925, Adachi also chose interesting and varied subjects for their prints and was the only publisher of many famous old ukiyo-e images.
Hiroshige Fan Prints - Terrific design from Hiroshige's wonderful "Eight Views of the Eastern Capital" series, in an unusual fan print format. These handsome images feature fine detail and attractive color, with each fan-shaped landscape set off by a softly colored background. An interesting and rarely seen series, beautifully printed with crisp line work and soft shading.
