Newly Published Storehouse of Loyal Retainers - Handsome design from Yoshitora's series based on the tale of the 47 ronin. Each design features expressive figures in nicely detailed settings. Unusually, several of the prints depict multiple scenes from the same act, with the main characters appearing more than once, or different events taking place in various parts of the setting. Some demonstrate an interest in Western perspective, with finely detailed architecture. An interesting treatment of this popular drama of honor and revenge. The first time we've seen this series.

Condition - Good color and detail. Some prints have a couple light creases at edges.
