The Chrysanthemum Festival, 1854 - Charming portrait of a beauty enjoying a stroll in autumn. She smiles happily as she looks up, holding the edge of her green kimono together, a roll of tissues tucked into her obi. A softly shaded border of clouds runs across the image behind her with a scattering of confetti-like dots below. An inset at upper right depicts two women carrying a vase of chrysanthemums and a box atop a tray to celebrate the Chrysanthemum Festival. An attractive design from a rarely seen series depicting Japan's famous five festivals.

Condition - Good detail. A couple repairs, creasing throughout.
