Great Battle between Nitta and Ashikaga, 1847 - 1852

Comments - Incredible scene of Nitta troops gathered on the shore, watching as enemy warships of the Ashikaga Clan approach, filling the horizon with sails, blocking the ocean from view. A general sits on a folding stool at left as one of his retainers gestures at the impressive sight. Samurai are ranged along a small peninsula, forming a barrier under the pine trees with wooden shields placed edge to edge, awaiting the onslaught. A general on horseback waits fearlessly at the tip of the land. A fantastic image of massing troops on both sides of an impending battle. A great panoramic view with wonderful detail in the armor and weapons.
