Comments - Handsome kabuki double portrait from the play "Konoshita Kage Masago no Datezome" at the Ichimura Theater featuring Nakamura Fukusuke I as Chigo Sutewakamaru and Onoe Kikujiro II as the beauty Gion no Oritsu. He looks over his shoulder with a tight-lipped frown as he rolls up a scroll, his white kimono patterned with scrolls. The beauty tilts her head and looks up at him with a sly smile. From left, the actors are Onoe Kikujiro II and Nakamura Fukusuke I. Beautifully detailed with an embossed pattern on the white kimono.

Condition - Nice color and detail. Backed with paper. Stitching holes at side, a few wormholes, repaired. Slight curling at sides.
