Picking Spring Greens

Comments - Charming scene a party of noblewomen picking spring greens. One beauty kneels on the ground absorbed in her work as she plucks the new shoots. Her companion carries an already filled basket, while a young boy behind them leans over excitedly. At right, a smaller boy looks up to watch cranes in flight about to join other birds on a spit of sandy shore. A pine tree beneath softly shaded pink clouds frames the scene at left. An attractive depiction of courtly life.
