Evening Bell at Mii-dera Temple: Iwai Hanshiro VI as Komachi, 1852 - Great kabuki portrait of Iwai Hanshiro VI as the beauty Komachi, lifting her hat above her head with an alarmed expression as she looks over her shoulder. She wears a straw raincoat over a print kimono and pale pink under robe, her hair adorned with a red lacquer comb, ribbons, and clusters of blue flowers. Nicely detailed with embossing on the pink robe and white kimono collar, and the red lining of the sleeves. A rarely seen series.

Condition - This print with good detail as shown. Stitching holes at side, repaired. Diagonal fold across center, slight creasing. Please see photos for details.
