Comments - Attractive kakemono or vertical diptych of a courtesan holding a roll of tissues to her cheek. She wears a black kimono patterned with large chrysanthemum blossoms over a red under robe with a geometric spiral print, tied with an obi featuring similar floral patterns. Her hair is pulled back into a sleek bun tied with a ribbon and adorned with two combs and many hairpins. A striking Edo era beauty design.
