Kiyomizu Komachi - Lovely portrait of Bando Shuka I as a beauty standing next to the Otowa Falls at Kiyomizudera in Kyoto. She smiles happily as she looks back over her shoulder at the rushing water, an ornate pipe in her hand. She wears a colorful kimono patterned with fans, lifting her robe with one hand. The water splashes over the rocky cliff into a narrow stream winding through the background. The episode refers to an exchange of poems between Ono no Komachi and the priest Henjou at Kiyomizudera Temple. A charming design with attractive color and fine shading.
