Minamoto no Yoritomo

Series; Mirror of Our Country's Military Elegance, circa 1845

Minamoto no Yoritomo - Handsome portrait of Minamoto no Yoritomo, the founder and first shogun of the Kamakura Shogunate. He is shown as a young warrior, seated on a stool, with a brush in one hand and a sheaf of folded paper in the other. Yoritomo wears a fine suit of armor emblazoned with the paulownia crest of the Minamoto clan, and his sword is tucked into a tiger skin case. A nicely detailed image of this famous warrior.

Condition - Nice detail. A few small repairs, creasing throughout.
