Beauties and Angry Man, 1852

Comments - Handsome kabuki scene of a man between two beauties, frowning angrily at the woman at right while holding his hand out in a stopping motion behind him. At beauty at right looks up with a strange grin as she pulls up the collars of her outer kimono. A kettle rests on a hibachi between the pair, with a basket of coal on the floor nearby. The sliding panels of a wall cabinet are decorated with a view of the snow-capped peak of Mt. Fuji. An attractive design with a beautifully detailed interior setting.

Artist - Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - 14 1/8" x 29 1/4" + margins as shown

Condition - Good detail. Vertical folds, a few small repairs and creases.
