Collection of Chivalrous Men of the Past and Present - Handsome half-length kabuki portrait from Kunisada's series "Chivalrous Men of the Past and Present." Each design features an otokodate or street knight, chivalrous commoners who helped defend townspeople and merchants against the abuses of the powerful, similar to Robin Hood. The expressive figures are set against softly shaded backgrounds. A great look at these popular kabuki heroes.

Condition - Good detail. Vertical fold at side. A few wormholes, repaired. Slight rippling at top edge, vertical wrinkle on face.
