Bando Mitsugoro as a Beauty in an Interior, 1867

Comments - Attractive kabuki portrait of Bando Mitsugoro as a beauty in an interior, smiling happily as she looks up, a slender pipe in her hand. A small chest of drawers lies open on the floor before her, and a kettle rests on the hibachi at right. The folding screen behind her features a lovely image of wisteria blossoms and a swallow in flight. Nice detail in the setting.

Artist - Kunisada II (1823 - 1880)

Image Size - 14 1/4" x 9 1/2" + margins as shown

Condition - Good detail. Wrinkling at edges.
