Sixth Month Shrine Visit to Teppozu, 1854 - Charming scene of two beauties and a young girl paying a visit to Teppozu Shrine in the sixth month. They pause at the end of a bridge, the two women chatting, each dressed in informal cotton kimono. The girl carries a flat fan with a bat on it and carries a decorated bamboo stalk. In the background, a small boat ferries two men across the water, past large cargo ships. An interesting subject from this rarely seen Hiroshige series.
