A Fuji Arts Special Offer Auction

Distant View of Kinkameyama, Enoshima, from the Seven Ri Beach, 1860 - Attractive triptych of beauties at Seven Ri Beach, collecting shells at low tide. In the center, a beauty bends forward with a smile to examine a shell offered to her by a young girl, who is amassing a collection on a blue cloth. At right, a woman wades in the shallow water beneath a pine tree, chatting with a companion strolling under an umbrella. At left, a beauty relaxes in a palanquin, smoking a pipe as the palanquin bearer pauses to mop his head with a handkerchief. Enormous waves roll toward the beach, the towering crests topped with white foam, with a view of Kinkameyama at Enoshima in the distance, and Mt. Fuji beyond. A lovely design with wonderful detail and fine bokashi shading in the water and sky.
