Beauty Holding a Bowl of Goldfish Kakemono

Comments - Charming portrait of a beauty holding a bowl with two goldfish in it, smiling happily as she watches them swimming. Her green kimono features blossoms and swirling currents of water, worn over a red under robe with a floral collar and tied with a black obi. Tie-dyed ribbons and hairpins adorn her hair, with tiny butterflies hanging from the metal hairpin. An attractive Edo era design.

Artist - Eisen (1790 - 1848)

Image Size - 27 5/8" x 9 1/4"

Condition - Good detail. Horizontal folds. A few small repairs and stains, creasing throughout.
