The Pride of Edo: Yoshiwara, 1867

Comments - Handsome portrait of Sawamura Tanosuke III as a courtesan strolling through the Yoshiwara at night. She wears a purple outer kimono patterned with chrysanthemums and peonies over tie-dyed and solid red under robes. Blossoming cherry branches frame the sky above the silhouette of the rooftops, a few petals gently drifting down. A charming design.

Image Size - 13 5/8" x 9 3/8" + margins as shown
