Daffodil by Nisaburo Ito (1910 - 1988)

Original Nisaburo Ito (1910 - 1988) Japanese Woodblock Print
Daffodil

Nisaburo Ito - Born in Kyoto in 1910, shin-hanga artist Nisaburo Ito created many woodblock prints of flowers, landscapes, and noted shrines and temples around his hometown. Some of his designs reflect his study of nihonga or traditional Japanese painting, while others take on a more modern expression. His floral and nature subjects are beautifully rendered with wonderful attention to detail and color. His attractive prints are a lovely choice to collect or display.

Comments - Bright and beautiful design of daffodils covered with sunny yellow blossoms. The colorful flowers perch atop slender stems, surrounded by narrow green foliage. A lovely choice for display. Published by Uchida on watermarked paper with publisher's seal within image at lower left.
