Ichimura Uzaemon XII as Horibe Yajibei, 1835

Comments - Handsome kabuki portrait of Ichimura Uzaemon XII as Horibe Yajibei in the classic play about the 47 ronin, "Kanadehon Chushingura. He stands beside a well, lifting his basket hat as he looks down with a surprised expression. His green coat has a black floral collar, worn over a brown kimono tucked into striped pants, a fan in his other hand. A nice expressive figure.
