Series; One Hundred and Eight Heroes of the Popular Suikoden
Tanmeijiro Genshogo, the Short-lived Second Son - Dramatic scene of an underwater fight between the tattooed Tanmeijiro Genshogo (Ruan Xiaowu in Chinese) and an enemy. The fully armored foe struggles to free himself from the grip of his opponent. The pair plunges downward into the water, a pair of fish swimming by. A terrific woodblock with a dynamic composition. Shading adds a real feeling of movement to the water. An excellent reprint choice for collectors interested in the samurai tradition.
