The Seven Lucky Gods: Nakamura Fukusuke I as Daikoku, 1855

Comments - Handsome kabuki portrait of Nakamura Fukusuke I as Daikoku from an unusual series pairing actors with Japan's beloved Seven Lucky Gods. He stands beneath a blossoming plum tree in early spring, holding a branch over his shoulder decorated with auspicious objects such as Daikoku's magic mallet. He wears a short jacket with writing on the collar over a blue kimono and black leggings, his robe tucked up in the back for easier movement. An interesting design with an attractive natural setting.

Image Size - 14 3/8" x 9 3/4" + margins as shown
