Iwai Hanshiro as Ohyaku, 1874 - Intriguing kabuki scene of Iwai Hanshiro as the beauty Ohyaku, grinning happily as she bobs in the water beside a ship, hanging onto a rope with both hands as waves splash against her. At upper right, a text panel takes the form of a book folded open. A handsome design, nicely composed and detailed with fine line work in the hair and burnishing on the black kimono collar.

Condition - This print with good color and detail as shown. Horizontal folds. A few small repairs, wrinkling throughout. Please see photos for details.
