Beauty Writing a Letter, 1869 - Lovely image of a beauty writing a letter, pausing to look up with a sweet smile as she holds a brush in one hand and a roll of paper in the other. She wears a blue kimono patterned with geometric motifs over a tie-dyed red under robe, each with a purple collar. Her obi reverses to black with a subtle burnished pattern. A charming portrait , beautifully detailed with a delicate embossed design on the paper and fine bokashi shading on the background. A rarely seen Kunichika beauty series.
