Ichikawa Danjuro VIII as Omatsuri Kingoro and Bando Shuka I as Gaku no Kosan, 1859 - Handsome kabuki double portrait featuring Bando Shuka I as the beauty Gaku no Kosan, smiling happily as looks up at her companion, a roll of tissues caught between her teeth. Omatsuri Kingoro looks down with a worried frown as he holds a cup of sake in one hand and a metal hairpin in the other. He wears a geometric print kimono over a black undergarment, a dotted towel draped over her shoulder. Nice expressive figures set off by a deep blue background.
