Beauty and Cherry Tree - Handsome portrait of a beauty beneath a blossoming cherry tree, pausing to look back over her shoulder. She wears a black coat over an intricately patterned yellow and brown kimono and an under robe with a softly shaded blue color with white flowers on it, tied with a violet obi decorated with paulownia leaves. Beautifully detailed with burnishing on the hair and burnished lines to indicate the folds on the black coat. The first time we've seen this classic Meiji beauty design.
