Series; Thirty-six Views of Tokyo

Thirty-six Views of Tokyo - Charming design from Ikkei's 1871 series "Thirty-six Views of Tokyo." This chuban format group features famous sites in Tokyo throughout the seasons, from cherry blossom viewing and the plum garden at Kameido in spring to Kanda Myojin Shrine in snow. Nicely detailed and colored with fine bokashi shading, these attractive images offer an interesting look at Tokyo at the start of the Meiji era.

Condition - This print with good color and detail as shown. Slight separation at edge of vertical centerfold, repaired. Some prints have a few creases or spots. Please see photos for details.
