Beauties Boating

Comments - Charming scene of upper-class beauties dressed in colorful kimono boating on a garden pond. In the center, a small boy leans forward excitedly as he watches the carp swimming nearby, the woman behind him ready to catch him if he gets too close to the water. A beauty standing in the prow holds a fishing pole, while another at right moves the craft along with a bamboo pole. Pines and blossoms cherry trees dot the shore, with small bridges over water. At upper right, a stone path leads up the hillside past a torii gate and lantern. An attractive design, beautifully detailed with embossing on the white kimono collars and the pink kimono at right. The first time we've seen this Kunichika design.
