Boats at Night, circa 1900 - Lovely view of boats anchored in the harbor for the night, the red flames from a distant fire drifting up through the sky. The ships are beautifully drawn with delicate linework, and the softly shaded evening sky creates an atmospheric setting. A beautiful scene by Kogyo, who is best known for his Noh theater prints. The first time we've seen this subject.
