Original Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864) Japanese Woodblock Print
Evening Cool at Ryogoku

Comments - Charming scene of a beauty sitting on a balcony enjoying the evening cool. She leaves against the railing, a fan in one hand, her kimono decorated with an unusual pattern of various insects. The room over looks the busy street at the foot of Ryogoku Bridge, where people are crowded together to watch as fireworks light up the night sky in starbursts of orange sparks. Nicely detailed.

Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - 14 3/8" x 9 7/8"

Condition - This print with good detail as shown. Vertical centerfold. A few small repairs, creasing. Please see photos for details.
