Nobleman and Descending Geese, 1858 - Handsome kabuki portrait of a nobleman looking up over his head as a flock of geese descends for the evening. He wears an elegant coat trimmed with a pleated collar over red under robes, his hair pulled back into a topknot that is parted in two at the tip. The landscape above by Kunihisa shows farmers harvesting rice in the flooded fields. The first time we've seen a print from this series.
