Series; The New Biography of Toyotomi Hideyoshi (Shinsen Taikoki)

The Great Battle of Anegawa, 1883 - Lively scene from the Battle of Anegawa in 1570 between the forces of Oda Nobunaga and Tokugawa Ieyasu. At right, the samurai Endo Kizaemon rushes at Takenaka Kyusaku, grimacing angrily as he runs. Kyusaku flings both his arms out in a motion to stop Kizeamon, his hair sticking out wildly around his head. At upper left, Nobunaga rises from his folding stool as he watches the commotion outside his camp. An interesting scene with expressive figures and wonderful detail in the armor and weapons.
