Ichimura Kakitsu IV as Taikomochi Jakuhachi, 1866 - Fantastic kabuki portrait of Ichimura Kakitsu IV as the taikomochi or jester Jakuhachi in Act 7 of the "Chushingura." He leans forward with a sly grin, looking suspiciously out of the corners of his eyes. He holds a fan in one hand as he gestures with the other. The border features the crossed hawk feather crest of the Hangan family and the two inverted commas of Yuranosuke's crest. An expressive figure.
