Kiso Yoshinaka Attacks Jo Shiro Nagamochi in Echigo Province

Comments - Terrific battle scene of Kiso Yoshinaka and his men attacking the castle of Jo Shiro Nagamochi in Echigo Province. At lower right, a rider tumbles off his black horse as the animal bucks, sending him sprawling. At lower left, a samurai grimaces angrily as he wields his sword, having just knocked an enemy's weapon from his hand. At upper right, samurais rush across a bridge over the moat to engage the attackers, some on horseback and others on foot. At upper right, archers fire from a tower of the fortress. A lively scene with wonderful detail.

Condition - This print with nice detail as shown. Two separate panels. Paper remnants on reverse from previous backing. A few creases. Please see photos for details.
