Autumn Flowers at the Mukojima Hyakkaen, 1895

Comments - Lovely scene of beauties enjoying the autumn flowers at Mukojima Hyakkaen on a moonlit night. The beauty in the center carries a lantern, smiling and waving her fan as she looks back at a companion standing in a pavilion. The young girl beside her looks up with a smile as she creates a bouquet of pink and white blossoms. Colorful flowers and grasses fill the garden behind them, with a stone marker nestled among the greenery at right and paper lanterns hanging from the eaves. An attractive autumn design, nicely detailed.
