Comments - Terrific scene of the great general Sato Masakiyo (the real-life Kato Kiymasa) and his retainers in a ship preparing to go into battle. The daimyo stands up the upper deck at top center, gripping a pole arm and staring ahead with a determined expression. His men wear full armor and hold weapons, the samurai in the front of the ship protected by wooden shields and bundles of bamboo. Masakiyo's circular crest appears on the billowing sail and the cloth panels along the side of the boat. A fantastic samurai design, wonderfully detailed.
