Minamoto no Noriyori

Comments - Handsome portrait of Minamoto no Noriyori, the brother of Yoritomo and Yoshitsune. He fought alongside his brothers during the Genpei Wars, which led to Yoritomo becoming the first shogun of the Kamakura shogunate. Yoritomo later had him killed after accusing him of conspiracy, Here, his sits on a leopard skin with a sheaf of papers in hand, wearing an elegant vest over a fine suit of armor, a white sash tied around his forehead. An attractive design.
