Adachi was one of the most respected publishers of the 20th century. Their woodblocks were printed to the highest standards with excellent color and fine detail. Founded in 1925, Adachi also chose interesting and varied subjects for their prints and was the only publisher of many famous old ukiyo-e images.

Comments - Fantastic and fanciful depiction of a foreign ship entering the port of Rhodes with the incredible Colossus of Rhodes towering high above the entrance to the harbor, smoke rising from the bowl in his hand. A fascinating image with intricate detail, fine bokashi shading in the water and sky, and embossing along the edges of the clouds.
