Ichikawa Danjuro as Oboshi Yuranosuke - Great kabuki portrait of Ichikawa Danjuro as Oboshi Yuranosuke, the leader of the 47 ronin. In a scene from Act 4 of the classic play "Chushingura," he holds the dirk with which his master has just committed suicide. He looks up with a frown, vowing to avenge the death of his lord. He wears a gray dotted kamishimo over a black kimono, his inverted comma crest on the shoulders and sleeve. The figure is nicely set off by a red background, framed by the ronin's traditional dogtooth border. A handsome design, detailed with burnishing on the black kimono.
