Suiten Shrine in Akabane, 1843 – 1847 - Lovely view of Akabane Bridge in Shiba with the spire of Suiten Shrine rising above the trees in the distance at left. Pedestrians make their way over the gracefully arched wooden bridge and along the pathways bordering the water. The highest fire tower in Edo can be seen at far right above the tree covered hills. The Boston Museum of Fine Arts has this image in its collection. A rarely seen subject.
