Comments - Great kabuki scene of the disgraced samurai Nagoya Sanza attacking the courtesan Katsuragi as she travels by palanquin. The beauty recoils on the ground at left as Sanza grabs the edge of her kimono, frowning angrily as he holds his sword behind his back. Katsuragi's black outer robe features a striking pattern of swirling thunderclouds and red bolts of lightning, and she wears a deep woven hat over her head. A full moon flows in the night sky, framed by willow branches. A handsome design with an attractive setting.
