Original Edo era Japanese Woodblock Print
Commoner with a Dotted Towel

Comments - Interesting half-length kabuki portrait of a commoner holding a dotted towel over his shoulder, looking to the side with an angry frown, his brows furrowed. Large characters fill the small behind him, creating a striking backdrop. Nicely detailed with fine line work in the hair.

Artist - Edo era artist (unsigned)

Image Size - 13 7/8" x 9 1/2" + left margin as shown

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Stitching holes at side, repaired. Slight soiling. Please see photos for details.
