Kasumigaseki, circa 1839-42 - Lovely morning view of Kasumigaseki at New Year's. Lion dancers and musicians walk along the street at left, while traditional holiday decorations of pine and bamboo flank the entrance at right. Kites fly high above the rooftops of Edo that stretch out into the distance, and white sails dot the horizon. Attractive color and fine shading in this handsome design.
